The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services currently coordinates the Youth Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Project (YADAPP), which is a youth substance abuse and violence prevention leadership experience for high school students. While drunk driving is not necessarily the main topic of this project, it is a topic that is discussed with our participants through workshops, speakers, and experiential learning activities.

The most visible aspect of this project is the weeklong leadership conference for approximately 400 high school students from across Virginia. More information is provided below. This year's conference is scheduled for the week of July 24-28, 2006 on the campus of Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
